Fortnite is testing a clever way to help you find teammates

Fourteen days can be an absolute blast to play with your friends, but being matched up with random players is more of a hit-and-miss. In some of the randomized groups I’ve been in, coordinating an effective strategy can be a challenging endeavor, especially when some team members want to rush into battle while others prefer to play slowly. To help you find better contenders, Fourteen days Developer Epic Games is testing new social tags for profiles that let you indicate how you like to play and can be used to match you with other like-minded gamers.

According to a blog post, tags include things like your favorite game modes and whether or not you want to use a microphone. If you’ve added at least one social tag, you can send and receive party invites from people with matching tags who are in your server region using a new “Search by party” section in the sidebar menu. You can turn Looking For Party on or off. So if you don’t want to receive invites from other players based on your tags, just turn it off.

However, you may not have social tags and find party features yet as these are in testing. “These features will be rolled out gradually to all players at a rate dependent on testing,” Epic said. And you should make sure you have the latest update of the game, which was released on Tuesday.

Epic started Fortnite’s last season earlier in June, and it’s all about the mood. Darth Vader is an unlockable skin for this season’s Battle Pass, and as part of the latest update, you’ll be able to battle him Fourteen days Island to get a throwing lightsaber.
