Even though 13 Guardians: Aegis Rim has been available on other platforms for a number of years, Atlus is still concerned about spoilers ahead of next week’s release of the Switch version. To counter this, streamer policies are enforced to ensure no one ruins the surprise.
Here’s the breakdown: Streamers must warn viewers about spoilers in the title of their streams so everyone is aware before clicking on a video. It also doesn’t want spoilers in the description or in the thumbnails.
That’s not all… Atlus also bans anyone from streaming past the final cutscene after the final fight. In fact, you can’t even “replay” the last cutscene in the game’s video archive. Here’s exactly what it said, courtesy of Siliconera:
“Also, after the final fight, do not stream any content past the final cutscene or replay the final cutscenes in the game’s archive.”
Steamers are also required to acknowledge Atlus and Sega copyrights in their streams. Atlus also doesn’t want anyone streaming the game’s soundtrack itself.
And for anyone planning to play this game on Switch when it releases next week, be aware that spoilers are likely already circulating since the game originally released on PlayStation 4 in 2019/20.
