Apple accidentally released a massive upgrade for iPads and iPhones

iPhone 14 leaks have already revealed some of the new smartphones best qualities and biggest concerns. But now Apple has accidentally released a long-awaited upgrade that millions of iPhone and iPad users will want.

Discovered by 9to5MacApple has inadvertently released a new support document on its website for an upcoming dual USB-C charger that will allow an iPhone or iPad to charge quickly while also charging an additional accessory like an Apple Watch.

“Use the Apple 35W Dual USB-C Port Power Adapter and a USB-C cable (not included) to charge your device,” Apple wrote in the support document. Apple also leaked the core specs. The new charger supports four different charging modes: 5 VDC/3 A or 9 VDC/3 A or 15 VDC/2.33 A or 20 VDC/1.75 A with a total output of 35 W.

This is a massive upgrade to everything Apple is currently offering in this segment. From the looks of it, the only similar options are bulky 30W and 45W chargers with a single USB-C port. Expect the leaked hyper-efficiency charger to be significantly smaller too GaN charging hot typed.

In addition, the iPhone was charged faster typed for some time without materializing. So the Android competitors now reach up to 120 W and deliver a full charge under 20 minutesthe arrival of this new dual charger could also see Apple finally upping its game.

I assume we’ll find out more soon. Apple has confirmed WWDC for June 10, where iOS 16 will be unveiled, and the next-gen iOS beta code has a long history of leaking upcoming Apple devices.

Of course, faster charging alone wouldn’t do the trick – especially when paired with the iPhone 14 stunning design, split performance and increased prices. But for iPhone 14 Pro buyers, it could be the deciding factor, along with their plus size new cameras.
