In India, it is not uncommon to hear the phrase “Koi Bhi Mantri Ban Jata Hai”, especially when it comes to the academic qualifications of the political class. Not untrue given the fact that when you think of qualified people in politics today, only five or six popular names immediately come to mind. Dasvi is set against the background of teacher recruitment scam. Those who follow political news will know that a former CM from Haryana was sentenced to 10 years in prison in the teacher recruitment exam. Given the Haryanvi dialect used in the film, and the backdrop, it wouldn’t hurt to guess where some of the inspiration came from… Abhishek Bachchan has spoken about how Dasvi is a film close to his heart. The actor also said that he is someone discreet about his work, but Dasvi is a movie that he liked fans of his to definitely watch because of the subject matter of him… Is Dasvi relevant to modern times? how hot
Dasvi is a well-intentioned film. In the contemporary scenario, it has become increasingly crucial to have well-educated people in the political system. Abhishek Bachchan has fun playing the role of Gangaram Chaudhary. He is a typical character in many ways, but Junior Bachchan makes him likeable with his quirkiness, his natural style for comedy and dialogue. But the writers barely do anything to elevate the character to the next level, which is sad. Yami Gautam does a good job as the prison superintendent, Jyoti Deswal. The scenes between the two are some of the best in the movie. Although the secondary characters are caricatured, the actors do a good job. Nimrat Kaur has the most interesting character but he seems too irregular.

it’s not
Dasvi positions itself as a satirical comedy but its vanilla treatment doesn’t make you laugh or think. The film is set in a part of India that is known for its violence and brutal hunger for power. Dasvi takes lightly serious topics such as caste-based politics, inter-caste marriage, and the political game of horses. If the filmmakers wanted to make a light-hearted movie, they should have stayed away from those problems. These problems in the movie are blown away in the most unbelievable way, so much so that you won’t believe they are real problems. Logic is also lost and how. Writers Ritesh Shah and Suresh Nair use all the modern tropes like social media obsession, love of memes, etc. to elicit laughter, but they fail. Sachin-Jigar’s music is nothing to write home about. There was room for good humor as Gangaram Chaudhary imagines himself chatting with the heroes of India like Lala Lajpatrai, Subhash Chandra Bose, etc. But the writers just didn’t explore the situations. But the biggest disappointment is Nimrat Kaur. The powerful actress looks inconsistent in places. Although her body language is excellent, her accent seems forced.

BL Verdict
Abhishek Bachchan and Yami Gautam are Dasvi’s only redeeming factors. The movie is only close to 130 minutes long, which is excellent given the dearth of content. The lack of comedic punches knocks Dasvi down several notches and you feel terrible as Abhishek Bachchan’s natural style in that department is one of the best in the business.
